The CCNP certification (Cisco
Certified Network Professional) indicates advanced or journeyman knowledge
of Cisco-powered networks. A Cisco Certified Network Professional can
install, configure, and operate a LAN/WAN and dial access services for
organizations with networks from 100 to more than 500 nodes, including
but not limited to these protocols: IP, IGRP, IPX, Async Routing, AppleTalk,
Extended Access Lists, IP RIP, Route Redistribution, RIP, Route Summarization,
OSPF, VLSM, BGP, Serial, Frame Relay, ISDN, ISL, X.25, DDR, PSTN, PPP,
VLANs, Ethernet, Access Lists, 802.10, FDDI, Transparent and Translational
Bridging.
Cisco Certified Design Associate
The CCDA certification (Cisco Certified Design Associate) indicates a
foundation or apprentice knowledge of network design for the Cisco
Internetwork Infrastructure. CCDA certified professionals can design
routed and switched network infrastructures involving LAN, WAN, and dial
access services for businesses and organizations.
The Designing for Cisco Internetwork Solutions course (DESGN) is the
recommended method of preparation for the Cisco Certified Design
Associate (CCDA) exam.
DESGN enables learners to gather customer's internetworking
requirements, identify solutions, and design the network infrastructure
and elements to ensure the basic functionality of the proposed
solutions. The course focuses on the technology, methods and best
practices available today for network design. The course follows
modularity and hierarchical top-down approach to enterprise network
design, including an interface to Service Providers.
Cisco Certified Network Associate
TThe CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) indicates a
foundation in and apprentice knowledge of networking. CCNA certified
professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial
access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), including but
not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP
RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists.
